Revealing Pantopia
“Pantope, from the Greek pan ("all") and topos ("place"): or how Michel Serres wanted to exhaust all places, to go around the world, knowledge and cultures. By extension, this character also gives his name to the new way of thinking that its inventor is implementing: the 'pantopia', the utopia of tomorrow, which no longer consists of imagining other places, imaginary worlds, but of delivering all the possibilities that our world contains, potentially or virtually.” (*)
SER is offering long-term residencies (in situ or remote) to artists, researchers and activists who embody a pantopian spirit in their work. Pantopian residences are on invitation only. The first PiR is Mira Heikkilä, a Finnish artist-researcher. Read her statement on the blog.
